Dr. Randall Hoch, Dr. Jason Ricks, Dr. Paige Nash, and Dr. Richard McMaster feel strongly that comprehensive eye care means more than just providing a prescription for eyewear and contact lenses. At our practice, we emphasize the role that healthy eyes and vision play in life-long health. We strive to provide the highest quality personalized care to each patient.

Jason A. Ricks, O.D.

Dr. Ricks, native to Montana, graduated from Beaverhead County High School in Dillon. He attended Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho and Montana State University- Bozeman pursuing his bachelors degree in cell biology and neuroscience. Dr. Ricks received his doctorate of Optometry with distinction from Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon in 2007. Shortly after graduation from Pacific University he returned to Montana with his wife Britney (native of Fairfield, MT.) to reside and raise their family in beautiful Lewistown Montana.

Dr. Ricks has served on the Montana Optometric Board for 7 year then as president of the Montana Optometric Association from 2016-2017. He continues to be an active member of the American Optometric Association and Montana Optometric Association. Outside interests include hunting, fishing, and backpacking. Professional interests include sports vision, specialty contact lens, and ocular disease.

Paige M. Nash, O.D.

Dr. Nash was born and raised in Dickinson, North Dakota but spent most holidays and breaks visiting family in Butte, MT. She studied human biology and played volleyball at the University of Montana for two seasons before transferring to play and finish her degree in zoology at North Dakota State University in Fargo. She received her doctorate in Optometry from Pacific University in 2016 and went on to complete a residency in Ocular Disease/Primary Care at the Raymond G. Murphy VA Medical Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Her residency training focused on both the common as well as uncommon ocular conditions with a specific focus on Glaucoma including involvement in a 10 year research program.

Following completion of residency in July 2017, she and her husband, Jake Rauen, were married in Butte, MT and moved to Lewistown. She has always had plans to practice in Montana and is excited to finally be back in the Big Sky State. In her spare time, she and Jake enjoy attending local sporting events, traveling to see family in Butte, and spending time outdoors. They look forward to being able to take advantage of the hunting, fishing, hiking, and skiing that Lewistown and all of Montana has to offer.

Dr. Zavala, O.D.

Dr. Zavala was born in Omaha, Nebraska, but grew up in the small town of Missouri Valley, Iowa. She began her optical career as an Optician, selling glasses and contact lenses, for six years before deciding to become an Optometrist. She attended University of Nebraska - Omaha to obtain her Bachelor's Degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. She then received her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2023 from Indiana University School of Optometry in Bloomington, Indiana. Her areas of interest include primary care, ocular disease, glaucoma, and diabetes.
Dr. Zavala moved to Lewistown at the end of November 2023 with her husband, Xavier Zavala, to join Eyecare Associates. In her free time, she enjoys the outdoors, crocheting, playing video games, and cooking. She is excited to experience all Montana has to offer in the coming years; serving Lewistown and joining the community!

David Boes, MD.

Dr. Boes is among the most experienced cataract and LASIK surgeons in the Northwest. He is the co-surgical director of the TLC Laser Center in Billings. He completed his Ophthalmology residency at the University of Washington in Seattle as well as Glaucoma Fellowship in Philadelphia at the Wills Eye Hospital. Dr. Boes provides consultation and treatment for patients with cataracts, glaucoma, diabetes, and other medical eye diseases. He offers monthly satellite clinics in Lewistown, Shelby, and Helena.

Randall J. Hoch, O.D.
(Recently Retired)

Dr. Hoch graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry after attending South Dakota State University in Brookings. Post-graduate education was received at Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Ocular Therapeutics. Additional certificates have been obtained in Laser Vision Co-management, Paragon CRT, and Glaucoma Management.

Professional interests include ocular disease, surgical co-management, and contact lenses. Dr. Hoch is a past President of the Montana Optometric Association, and served on the Montana State Board of Optometry. Outside interests include hunting, fishing, gardening, and wood turning.

Richard McMaster, O.D.
(Recently Retired)

Dr. McMaster received his Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology from the University of Montana. He received his Doctor of Optometry in 1992 from Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Montana Optometric Association.

Dr. McMaster's professional interests include primary eye care, contact lenses, ocular disease, and co-management of refractive surgery and cataract surgery. His passion, caring nature and dedication to his profession enable him to provide his patients with thorough and comprehensive eye health care.

His personal interests include fishing, hiking, hunting, woodworking and photography.
