Barb Wohlk - Contact Lens Coordinator

Dr. Hoch and Dr. Ricks are pleased to announce that Barb Wohlk, CPOT,NCLEC has been entrusted with the position of Contact Lens Coordinator. She will necessarily direct all activities of the contact lens service of Eyecare Associates, including the provision of direct patient care. Dr. Hoch and Dr. Ricks believe that Barbs increased involvement will enhance the overall quality of contact lens care delivered at ECA because of her time, attention, and direct personal involvement.

Barb has achieved the highest level of certification possible through the Paraoptometric Section of the AOA, and is also certified by the National Contact Lens Examiners (NCLE) which officially recognizes that she has met a national set of standards as a qualified and competent contact lens technician. Continuing education is required to maintain certification. Barb has attended education all across the United States and has lectured to audiences of Para-optometrics at the AOA Congress in Boston, the GWCO Congress in Portland, as well as regionally in Montana and Wyoming. She is a past national chair of the Paraoptometric section of the American Optometric Association.      You can see more about Barb on our team page - click here.

Congratulations to Johnna Lea!

Congratulations to Johnna for being selected as the recipient of the Eyecare Associates of Lewistown Scholarship Program.

Johnna Lea, senior at Judith Gap High School, was awarded the $500 Eyecare Associates Scholarship. She will be attending Northwest College and plans to major in equine studies.

Dr. Randall Hoch, Dr. Jason Ricks, and the staff at Eycare Associates of Lewistown understand the importance of supporting education. We were pleased to see the involvement and interest of so many of our local high school seniors in pursuing higher education. This is a tribute and compliment to the local educational systems and educators in our communities. Higher education is ever-more important in today's society. Eyecare Associates of Lewistown is proud to support our local youth in achieving their dreams and aspire to their great potential.

This is the first year that Eyecare Associates of Lewistown has offered the Scholarship Program to area high school seniors. All applicants submitted a questionnaire and answered an essay question outlining their goals for the future. We had participation from 11 local high schools. Each applicant was very deserving, thus making our job of selecting just one student very difficult. We would like to wish all of our graduating high school seniors the best of success.

Don’t like pupil Dilation?

Eyecare Associates of Lewistown is now offering Rev-Eyes (Dapiprazole HCL) to reverse pupil dilation. Rev-Eyes will significantly reduce the amount of time the pupil is dilated. If a shorter duration of pupil dilation is of interest please ask our staff.

Cirrus Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT)

Eyecare Associates has acquired the latest in OCT technology. The Cirrus OCT is a high definition retinal scanning instrument which is becoming the industry standard for retinal disease diagnosis, management and treatment. It is useful in managing glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy.

Vivian - Eyecare Associates welcomes Vivian Ross as our new receptionist!  Vivian moved to Lewistown from Washington to be near family.  Vivian worked for 23 years as a receptionist in the medical field before moving to Montana.  She enjoys meeting people, working in her yard and garden and most importantly, spending time with her daughter and her family.
